Frequently asked questions
What makes the Vispring Devonshire Mattress feel special to sleep on?
It uses natural British fleece wool and Devonshire fleece wool with a plush surface, plus hand-tufting and hand-nested calico pocket springs. This combination aims to contour to your body for gradual support and a breathable, comfortable sleep surface.
What materials are used in this mattress and how do they affect daily use?
The mattress features natural fillings like British fleece wool and Devonshire fleece wool, a viscose blend, quality ticking, and two rows of hand side-stitching. The single row of vanadium steel, hand-nested Calico pocket springs provides customizable firmness and stable support.
Who would benefit most from this mattress and who might choose differently?
It suits sleepers who want a luxurious, breathable surface with adjustable firmness options (Soft, Medium, Firm, Extra Firm) and split firmness for King size. If you prefer a firmer, simpler core with fewer customization options, a different model might be a better fit.
What firmness options are available and how do they affect comfort?
You can choose Soft, Medium, Firm, or Extra Firm firmness. The springs are hand-nested Calico pocket springs designed to tailor support, so the chosen option influences how closely the surface cushions the body and how much push-back you feel.
How is this mattress designed for durability and airflow?
The construction includes natural fillings, ticking with felt-washer tufting, and edge stitching, plus divan options that have air vents and solid timber frames. These features aim to enhance durability and promote airflow for a cooler sleep surface.
